Hi,
Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK Support team.
Anchored adaptive banners are expected to be always on-screen, locked to the screen’s top or bottom. Anchored adaptive banners have a relatively small maximum height to avoid taking up too much of the screen. Always on-screen, anchored banners set an optimal ad slot size for each device. Once set, the anchored banner slot size doesn't change.
The documentation for both getLandscapeAnchoredAdaptiveBannerAdSize and getPortraitAnchoredAdaptiveBannerAdSize specifies the return of an ad size for a banner anchored to the top or bottom of the app. This functionality is consistent across both orientations.
The expectation is for a different ad format. To achieve an ad placement similar to the provided screenshot, Interstitial Ads or Native Ads should be considered. Because getLandscapeAnchoredAdaptiveBannerAdSize will provide an ad size that spans the width of the landscape screen and it is designed to be placed at the top or bottom. It will not provide an ad size with the full screen height and optimized width.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
